“The Centre for Lexicography and Language Technologies” was founded at the School of Arts and Sciences of Ilia State University in 2020. It was established by a team of professional lexicographers who have implemented many lexicographic and corpus projects.

“The Centre for Lexicography and Language Technologies” envisages a world in which citizens have all the information that they need about language, and can use it to build democracy and civil society, and reach their highest intellectual potential.

Mission Statement

The mission of the “Centre for Lexicography and Language Technologies” is to preserve the cultural history and support the development of Georgian and other languages. The Centre designs and utilizes state-of-the-art technologies that enable the creation of high-quality language data for lexicography, corpus-building, machine translation, artificial intelligence, and other purposes.
